2014-2015: Cascade EffectFTC Team 8404 Quixilver was formed in 2014 with five members from Bret Harte Middle School (all of whom have already graduated). Although our rookie year was rough (our parts arrived late, we had to travel to competitions three hours away, etc.), we learned how to function as a team, which was useful for future years. We were a semifinalist at our first qualifying tournament and we won the Think Award at our second tournament.

2022-2023: Power PlayWith only 12 members this year, our team still managed to pull through and we reached for new heights. Through countless sleepless nights, we accomplished our goals for the season as well as many personal goals we had. This year, we had switched from the qualifiers system to the leagues system. In our league tournament, with only one chance to qualify, we won the Design Award as well as 2nd place Inspire Award through hard work. Later on in the season, we went to regionals. Despite not qualifying for worlds, we learned many lessons and realized mistakes we made throughout the season. With this newly gained knowledge, we will strive to improve in future years.
